During a very muggy afternoon yesterday in the city, I went to the Bruce Springsteen exhibit at the National Constitution Center, which runs until September 3rd. While I’m not surprised by this, I’m still disappointed I wasn’t able to take any pictures once inside.

Pieces on display include clothing, lyric sheets, videos, a motorcycle, guitars, gold and platinum records, and much more. His entire career, starting with his days in the Castilles (and the bar of soap which inspired the name!), all of the way to the most recent album are covered in some way. More importantly, the role that Philadelphia played in the early days of his career was covered with mentions of shows at the Tower and the Main Point.

I almost didn’t want to leave the museum, although that may have had more to do with the threat of swamp ass than anything else.

And for those of you wondering, I didn’t see John Clark there
