Oldheads should be real excited this weekend when Scottish shoegazers Jesus and Mary Chain play Union Transfer. The band’s first run was from roughly 1983-1999, and like many other indie giants of the ’80s and ’90s, they’ve recently gotten the old crew back together for a trip down memory lane.

While an appearance at Coachella in 2007 marked phase two for the band, there hasn’t been any new music since 1998’s awful Munki. Come on out and hear the hits off of albums like Psychocandy and Darklands, and go to their website and buy all of the deluxe packages that they’re peddling. I’m not trying to be a smartass or anything, but the first thing you see when you go their website is BUY BUY BUY.

Here are some of the classics.
