HOW ARE THE EAGLES 2-0?Posted: September 16, 2012

This is the first time since 2004 that the Eagles have begun the season 2-0. We all know how they ended that season.
Not to get hopes up or anything. Because I’m rather worried.
At times the Birds looked really bad today. There was more poor decision-making from Michael Vick, Andy Reid flubbed some plays in key moments, and the turnovers were absolutely out of control. An optimist will look at this game and say that this team is so good that they won in spite of the myriad of problems. And the fighting! These guys were chippy today. You’d expect this against the Giants or Cowboys, but not from teams that only see each other every four years.
But don’t forget that the Ravens didn’t look so hot either, including a frustrating performance from Joe Flacco. Well, it was frustrating if you’re a Ravens fan. Until the Audubon (NJ) native is consistent, he’s nothing more than a second-tier quarterback. Sorry, Ravens fans!
On the brightside, the Eagles defense looked very good and were responsible for keeping the game close. DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks were particularly impressive. Brent Celek carried the offense, while DeSean and LeSean also had good games.
And finally, for a second week in a row, Vick led the team on a game-winning drive and a 24-23 win. The team is 2-0 and heads into Phoenix next week to face the Cardinals and a seemingly rejuvenated Kevin Kolb, who are also undefeated.
